The hummingbirds are back in Pie Town. I don’t know if they are just passing through or setting housekeeping but I took this one yesterday.

Canon 1D Mark III, EF 300mm 1:2.8 L IS USM with Extender 2x II
, f/13, 1/2500, ISO 1600, AI Servo mode, Spot Metering Mode
Sunny day with slight haze
Tentative identification; Broad Tail Hummingbird
As usual the focus is not as sharp as I would have liked but then it rarely is. His/Her maneuvering was so quick that the auto focus was not able to keep up even with Canon’s newest firmware Ver. 1.2.3 update.
